  • 1. How quickly are emails archived after being sent or received?

    Emails are captured and indexed within seconds of delivery. Our real-time journalling connectors operate at the mail transport layer, so there is no delay between an email being sent and it appearing in your immutable archive.

  • 2. Can employees delete emails from the archive?

    No. The archive operates independently of individual mailboxes. Even if a user deletes a message or an administrator purges a mailbox, the archived copy remains intact in tamper-proof, WORM-compliant storage. Only designated compliance administrators can manage archive retention under policy.

  • 3. Where is our data stored and who can access it?

    You choose your data residency region at setup: US, EU (Frankfurt), APAC (Singapore), or your own private cloud. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. Only authorised users with roles you define can access archived messages.

  • 4. What happens to our historical email when we sign up?

    On first connection, Archon performs a full historical import of your mailboxes, including email sent before you signed up, up to the limits of your retention policy. Typical imports of 100,000 to 1 million messages complete within a few hours.

  • 5. Do you offer a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for HIPAA?

    Yes. BAAs are available on Business and Enterprise plans. Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) for GDPR compliance are available on all paid plans. Contact our compliance team and we will execute the relevant agreement before your trial period ends.
